How To Date A Celebrity

/ by

Why should i date a celebrity?

celebWhen you are young, you dream of where you want to end up in the world. Little girls often dream of being princesses, or famous singers. Little boys dream of being rock stars and football players. As you get older, you start to realise that the dreams you had when you were younger aren’t necessarily what you want any more – but hardly anyone would turn down the chance to be a princess or a rock star if they got the opportunity. And few would turn down the chance to date a celebrity.

The most important thing about these dreams “jobs” are that they don’t seem to take much effort, they pay well, and they involve fame. If you think being a princess or playing football involves a lot of effort, maybe you should try digging ditches for a living 12 hours a day – now, is it easier to dig ditches or play ball?

Being the partner of a celebrity involves potentially less work – it’s not actually a job. However, you would receive the benefits of the job – some of the money is likely to come your way, as is some of the fame. If you are looking for a partner, then a celebrity would seem to be a good choice!

The downside to this is that your entire life may come under the microscope. Every little thing you do, every perceived wrong you commit, every time you go out for a meal, someone will be watching. And you won’t always get a chance to defend yourself. How many times have you eaten ice cream and got it on your chin? Imagine a paparazzo taking a picture of you and that picture appearing in a newspaper with the caption “Piggy Partner eats so much can’t even get it in mouth!” – it can take quite a thick skin to get along in the world of celebrities.

Under Pressure

If you can handle the pressure, the scrutiny and the potential for people poking fun at you, everything else is looking good – the fame, the fortune, the celebrity partner, the invitations to red carpet events, appearing on TV shows as a celebrity (by association) guest, the events you could open, the restaurants you will eat at, the people you will meet…surely the benefits make up for every problem there may be.

But don’t expect it to be an easy ride.

The chances are there are other people who would like to date the same celebrity as you, and even if you are in a relationship, that probably won’t stop them trying to get their foot in the door. You will have to fight for what you want, fight for who you love, and fight to stay together. But if you truly are in love, it’s no different from any other relationship – there will always be people wanting you to break up. The difference is that this time it may be reported on the internet!

So why should you date a celebrity? The best reason would be to say it is for love, but the reality is that there is a lot of good to be said for fame and fortune, and the love may just be the icing on the cake.

A more pertinent question to ask yourself may be, why would a celebrity want to date me?

How Do I meet a Celebrity? Date a Celebrity using the Law of Attraction

In order for a celebrity to want to date you, they need to know you exist. This is the very first step – getting noticed.

There are few things universally accepted by both the scientific community and the public at large. One set believes in supernovas and protons, the other in whatever they want. But one thing that can be agreed on is that there are laws of attraction.

date a celebrity

This exists in a scientific setting, and can refer to many things – including one of the more obvious ones, gravity. But it works with electricity and a number of other things – it’s real, and it happens every day.

In your life, the laws of attraction work as well. How many times have you wanted something, and wanted it, and wanted it, only for it to eventually become part of your life almost accidentally? That’s the law of attraction at work.

A real life example

The simplest way to explain how it works in your life every day is to understand what happens to you subconsciously. Suppose you want a particular necklace. It is very obvious that if you never ever even think about that necklace, you are highly unlikely to ever own it.

If you do think about it every day, you subconsciously move closer to it. When it is on your mind, your mind goes to work thinking how you can obtain it without you having to consciously make a plan. You will start looking around for the best place to buy it from, maybe visit a few jewellers, talk to your friends about it.

People may say you’ll never get that necklace, but you insist you will.

Maybe one day, it’s your birthday, and one of your friends or relations buys the necklace for you as a gift – they knew how much you wanted it, as you put it out there for the universe to see, and someone took action on it. Or maybe you go shopping for something else, and happen to look in a jewellers to find the exact necklace is on sale at 75% off – a bargain for that one thing you wanted!

Somehow, someway, it will become yours – because you put yourself in locations or situations that make it almost impossible for the universe to ignore.

Focus on the right things

But remember, this works the other way too – if you have little money, and imagine every day that you will ALWAYS be poor, you WILL always be poor – the universe will find a way to help you to that idea which you reinforce every day. If you have a belief that puts you in the position, places and situations of being poor, you will remain poor. If you focus on rising up to a better place, the universe will help you along the way.

And so it goes that should you want to date a celebrity, you are going to have to convince the universe that this is what you want. You will have to put yourself in places, in situations, in the position to be available to date a celebrity.

Get out there!

How many people sit at home and just imagine what their life would be like dating a celebrity, with all the paparazzi following their every move? And how many dream of their ideal partner while they sleep? How many stay at home in their tiny apartment with their heads full of dreams while the celebrities are thousands of miles away at a party? What are the chances of even meeting a celebrity while staying at home?

If you don’t put yourself in the positions and situations to get started with, you will find it hard to even meet a celebrity, let alone start dating one.

And when you dream about it every day but take no action, how can you expect your dream to come true?

You need results, and no-one gets results without taking any action. The action you take may involve trawling through websites, newspapers and magazines, trying to follow the movements of your target celebrity. You’ll need to plan to be in the same place at the same time, or at the very least somewhere nearby.

The big problem may be getting them to notice you.

Dress for Success – Look Like a Star

Generally speaking, celebrities have a certain look about them. They walk tall, they don’t shuffle around, and they tend to dress well. The first time a celebrity sees you, you need to make a good impression – you need to show them you are their equal.

Looks first, personality later!

Even if you meet in a crowded elevator, a celebrity is likely to see you before they speak to you. In those first few moments, appearance is everything.

It can be a good idea to match the kind of outfit that the celebrity wears – but not by becoming a clone! If they dress in a formal suit, you dress formally too. If they wear jeans and a t-shirt, you wear the same. Like attracts like – if they dress like they live on the street and you dress like you run a business, chances are your opportunity won’t arise.

Looking like a star doesn’t necessarily mean what it sounds like – you probably imagined some glamorous outfit when you first read it. But really , you should have imagined looking (or rather, dressing) like the star you want to date!

I have nothing to say

So you’re in the right place, you’re wearing the right clothes, and your target celebrity notices you. They say, “Hi!”

Without preparation, your mind will now go blank. Guaranteed.

Plan what you are going to say – you might want to start with, “Hey, how are you doing?”, or something less cliched, but make sure you know before time.

They will respond to what you say, and then the critical moment is reached – you need to carry on the conversation. This is where RESEARCH comes in – you need to know some things about your celebrity. Maybe they are a Chicago Bears fan, and it’s football season – ask them about the last match. Anything to keep it going – but the more interesting the better. You want to date a celebrity, not bore them!

The ultimate aim is to get them to ask you a question that isn’t used in a standard polite conversation – for example, “How did you do that?”, or “Can you show me?”. Asking a question like that shows they are involved in the conversation and have really NOTICED you.

Don’t lie!

How do you get that response? It may be as ridiculous as saying, “I used to cheerlead for the Bears – I can walk on my hands for the length of a football field. I just raised money for charity doing it!”

They will probably want a demonstration – just make sure what you said is true!

Of course, exactly what you say and do to get them interested is going to depend entirely on the celebrity. They all have their own interests, so what works for one will not work for another. Celebrities are people too!

Again, RESEARCH. You need to get them interested.

After this, the conversation may end, or it may go further – you’ve got your foot in the door.

However, if it does end, they’ll remember you next time they see you – and they might come over to talk to you rather than you having to attract their attention.

Gain their attention, make an impression, and see what happens. The more you meet, the more you talk, the more the celebrity finds out about you, the more likely you are to get a date.

Do celebrities only other date celebrities?

No. Quite simply, there aren’t enough of them to go around. Even royalty doesn’t exclusively date royalty! You know you wanted to be a princess….?

The only thing that determines who they date is who they meet. If they never meet you, they can never date you – it would be physically impossible. Hence the need to be in the right place – putting yourself near a celebrity is the key.
Would fame make me happy?

No-one can answer that question but you. If a relationship would make you happy, would a relationship with a famous person also make you happy? There would be a lot of pressure. Others may be trying to get that same celebrity to notice them too. The newspapers will have a field day.

But in the end, you may find it is worthwhile.

Go on…pick a celebrity…go and get a date today!

7 New Years Resolution Ideas for 2017

/ by

The new year is traditionally a time to make resolutions to improve your life. Some classic new years resolution ideas include things like stopping smoking, losing weight, going to the gym, making more money, and so on. Whilst starting with admirable intentions, most people manage to break their resolutions within a few weeks, because they treat them more like dreams than goals.

Why not make some specific resolutions this year, and achieve them all by 2018?

New Years Resolution…or Goal?

Some of the defining characteristics of a goal are that it is measurable and specific. Most resolutions are neither. “Lose weight” doesn’t have as much impact on your psyche as “lose 15 pounds” done. If you lose 20 pounds and your resolution is “lose weight”,  have you completed it? Do you have to continue? If your goal was to lose 15 pounds, you’ve seen what you can do and you’re motivated to continue – and you were able to track your progress on the way.

The List

1 – Lose 5% of your bodyweight (in fat) or add 5% to your bodyweight in muscle

Whatever the condition of your body, there’s always room for improvement. If you’re overweight, aim to lose 5% of your bodyweight in fat. That doesn’t necessarily mean you have to weigh 5% less – in fact, if you’re building muscle, you might find you look and feel better if you weigh more. However, you’ll need to monitor this through either a professional body composition measuring service, or by using a set of smart scales. Smart scales may not be as accurate, but they will certainly give you an idea in which direction you’re headed.

On the flip side, you might want to add some muscle to your frame. Aiming for 5% is achievable, but even more is possible!

2 – Go to the gym 3 times a week

It doesn’t matter if you are trying to lose weight, gain mass, or are happy as you are – getting to the gym 3 times a week and getting your heart pumping is a great way to get healthy. Three days a week is the perfect number as you get at least one rest day in-between visits. Don’t hit the gym three days in a row and then wait until the following week to go again!

3 – Save 10% of your income

Chances are, you won’t miss 10% of your income. It might mean you can have a couple less meals at restaurants every month, or maybe you can’t buy all those new items of clothing, but hear me out – if you save it and invest it, even at a low interest rate, in a few years you’ll thank me. After one single year, you’ll have saved more than a month of income, which is a great safety net. After 5 years, you’ll have 6 months of income – and that’s not accounting for compound interest. It might not make you a millionaire (although it might) but it can relieve some of the worries you might have about starting a business, or even losing your current job.

4 – Read 13 books

Why 13 and not 12? Because 12 is for amateurs, and not all months are of equal length. This way, you read a book every 4 weeks – simple. Reading fact or fiction expands your mind, and causes your brain to work in different ways to just living day to day. Of course, you might take the opportunity to read some great self improvement books, or just immerse yourself in a fantasy world or two.

Reading books

5 – Meditate for 10 minutes every day

Here’s the great thing about 10 minutes – it’s not very long. Of course, 5 minutes is shorter, but most people find that the benefits of meditation really kick in after at least 7 minutes or so. Struggling to make this a new years resolution? Try to keep calm.

6 – Create 5 ideas every day

Do you want to start a business? Or do you want to create a product or service? Maybe you want to write a book. What about starting a website? Do you have any ideas for what you can do? No? Good. Start coming up with 5 ideas every day. Write them down. Chances are, the first week, they will all be awful. Keep going. By the end of week 2, you’ll have at least one good idea. By week 4, you’ll have two gems. Keep going! The more you work your creative muscle, the stronger your idea skills will become.

7 – Drink 8 glasses of water a day

You are physically somewhere between 60 and 80% water, and your brain is towards the high end of that scale. Water keeps you going, and allows your body to work efficiently and perform maintenance on itself. After a week of no food, you can still function. After a week of no water, if you’re still breathing, you’ll have tremendous difficulty moving and thinking, and your heart will be struggling to pump the blood around your body. Recent research has shown that 8 glasses a day is an arbitrary figure, and the exact amount varies from person to person – but you most likely don’t manage even 4 glasses a day. Up your water intake. Aim for 8 glasses a day.

Make your new years resolution specific, and make it measurable, and by the time 2018 rolls around, you could be an entirely different person.

Reduce Stress To Improve Your Life

Do you sometimes feel like your life is falling apart at the seams? Many of the problems found in society today can be solved if you just find a way to reduce stress levels.

What is stress?

In the scientific sense, stress is a condition in which your body produces particular chemicals and hormones that cause you to feel agitated, on edge, and possibly angry, worried, and depressed. In the physical world, to place an object under stress can mean putting a great weight on it, pulling it in all directions, or pushing it until it breaks – which is just how it can feel to be under stress.

What causes stress?

Many things can cause stress, but it often boils down to worrying or being upset about something, either consciously or subconsciously. Thinking you won’t have enough money to pay the rent at the end of month can cause stress – you worry about the outcome should you not pay. Moving house can cause stress – there are so many things to keep track of, and you have to make sure you stay on top of everything. Working in a store and being complained at by a customer can cause stress – especially if you feel you did nothing wrong. Marriage – and of course, divorce – can cause stress. How will you cope? What will people think? Where will you live? Will you have enough money?

College exams, acne, pregnancy, impending surgery, planning a get-together during the holidays, any number of things can cause a stress reaction from your body.

The physical effects of not taking action to reduce stress levels

Your body can only handle a certain amount of activity as you will know if you’ve ever had to run to try and catch a bus. General health and fitness affects the amount of activity you can do, but stress severely affects this. Being under stress is like constantly asking your body to perform an extra task, even while sleeping. As such, you can end up with extremely low energy which can lead to other problems like depression. Alternatively, you may suffer physical problems. This is due to the resources usually used to repair and maintain your body being diverted to somewhere else. These problems can include hair loss, weight gain, and hives. Each of these can and will affect your physical appearance, which can build into a spiral as you becomed stressed out about the way you look on top of everything else.

How to reduce stress

Breathing and Meditation

Taking just a few moments to take a deep breath or two can work wonders. Breathing is the essence of life, and without it you can’t exist. Just understanding that you are still alive and breathing can dramatically alter your mindset.

There are various specific breathing techniques you can use, but just taking a deep breath and holding it for a couple of seconds will help to calm your mind.

Breathing techniques can also form a part of mindfulness and meditation. Meditation is not a spiritual practice – it is simply taking the time to examine your mind and help yourself relax. You can find videos on Youtube demonstrating various breathing techniques and offering guided meditations. Apps such as Headspace and Calm are available to help too.

Music can connect with you on a very deep level. Certain songs will remind you of times in your life, good and bad. Music also has the power to change your mood, to excite or calm you. The choice of music is entirely personal, and you may find you feel better with a few upbeat tunes – but you might also prefer a quick chill-out session!

Exercise & Healthy living

Healthy living can help you to reduce stress naturally, without the aid of drugs or anything else. Whilst being stressed can cause you to gain weight, conversely being overweight can cause your body to become stressed, so maintaining a good diet is essential.

Exercise that gets your muscles working and the blood pumping is good for you on many levels. The obvious benefit is that your body will become stronger and healthier. Less obviously, exercise causes your body to release endorphins. Endorphins reduce the feelings of pain, and generally make you feel good. Feeling good helps reduce stress, so get exercising!

A massage, whether it is full body, head, shoulders, or back, helps your muscles to relax. Tense muscles are often a symptom of stress, and changing your physiology by relaxing your muscles can help to relieve stress.

Hypnosis can be performed in an office by a professional hypnotherapist, or products are commercially available (such as those by Paul McKenna). These products can help train your mind to deal with and reduce stress. It is simply a matter of training your brain to deal with certain situations in a particular way. If the cause of your stress is irrational, why bow down to an irrational fear?

Not taking random naps every now and then, but ensuring that your sleep patterns are full and uninterrupted. If you don’t get enough sleep, your body will be stressed. But if you get way too much sleep, you’ll also be stressed! The usual required amount is between 6 and 8 hours, but you will have to find the sweet spot for yourself. Anything less than 6 hours is far too little.

Attacking the day, week, month, or year without a plan is a recipe for stress. If you don’t have a framework for your day at the very least, it’s easy to start wondering what to do next. And it’s just a short step from there to full-on stress. Plan what you want to get done the night before, and don’t try and get through the day without knowing what your goal is.

There is no Easy Life

No matter what you do, there will be some stress in your life. Unexpected visitors, being stuck in traffic, money not arriving in you bank account, even running out of milk. But while there is no easy life, you do have the option of dealing with life on your terms.

Don’t get stressed by unexpected visitors – welcome them in, spend time catching up, enjoy their company.

There’s no need to get stressed by being stuck in traffic – use the extra time to plan the rest of your day, or just appreciate the calm in the car.

Don’t get stressed by the money not arriving on time – make a phone call to the bank or whoever was meant to be paying you. There’s probably a legitimate reason why it’s late, and it can probably be fixed easily.

And never get stressed because you ran out of milk – drink your coffee black. Or use cream. Or…put it in perspective. Did you get a bad report from the doctor, or did you run out of milk? One of these things might cause you stress and worry, but the other affects you making a drink. And the store down the street probably has milk to.

Keep everything in perspective, and you should find it helps to reduce stress in all areas of your life.

What types of cosmetic surgery are there?

/ by

There are many types of cosmetic surgery, and most were developed in response to restore the body after injury or illness. These days of course it is more common to hear of cosmetic surgery being used to enhance the looks and body shape of the person receiving it. Here are some of the most common types:

Face lifts – once the preserve of the rich and famous, rhytidectomy involves the removal of wrinkles from the face by various methods. This can be done with a “neck lift” to remove sagging and wrinkles in the neck area, which is a sure giveaway of your age! Implants can also be used to reshape the chin and cheeks. Lip enhancement and reshaping is also possible. The extreme level is orthognathic surgery, which involves the bones of the face being moved around through surgically controlled fractures.

Nose jobs – the nose can be reshaped (rhinoplasty) to make it larger, smaller, straighter, etc.

Eyelid surgery – known as blepharoplasty, this can either refer to the application of permanent eye makeup, or the reshaping of the eyelids.

Boob jobs – breast augmentation (mammoplasty) is performed to increase the size of the breasts, whilst reduction mammoplasty is used to reduce the breasts (and can be performed on men). Alternatively, mastopexy or a “breast lift” is reshaping of the skin around the breast to fix sag.

Tummy tucks – otherwise known as abdominoplasty, this involves reshaping of the abdomen to prevent wobbly tummies.

Butt implants – buttock augmentation is similar to breast augmentation in that implants are used to reshape the buttocks. A buttock lift is another procedure where excess skin is removed to make the butt higher and tighter.

Skincare for sensitive skin – because some skincare might be bad for you

/ by

Sensitive skin can often be caused by an allergic reaction to something, and the last thing you want to do is apply a cream or lotion with an ingredient you are allergic to.

If you’ve already tried something and found you’ve had a reaction to it, check the ingredients, and compare it to other products on the market. With a little trial and error, you should be able to identify the rogue ingredient. If a product claims to be hypoallergenic, it is designed to be suitable for sensitive skin – but everyone is different, so don’t forget to test a new product on a small area first before covering yourself in it!

That said, most people find they can use products with aloe vera, coconut oil and camomile, which are great for softening the skin. Daily use of a moisturizer will certainly help, as will limiting your exposure to the sun.

Always be careful when applying a product, and when washing and drying yourself. Be gentle, and don’t scrub away – this can make your situation worse by irritating your skin.

One further thing to consider is that your sensitive skin may not actually be caused by external factors – it may be the food you are putting inside yourself that is causing an issue. Allergic reactions to things such as wheat may not make you violently ill, but could show up as red patches here and there on your body. If you can’t find a product that works, it might be time to change your diet. And do forget to drink lots of water, as this will do wonders for your skin.

Plus size modeling agencies and how to know they’re legit

/ by

Being skinny used to be the fast track into a career in modelling, but as the years have passed more and more modelling agencies have appeared for average sized people. There are agencies specializing in all body types.

A plus size model agency is no different to a “regular” model agency – they are looking for models who are confident, are passionate about what they are doing, and can hold a pose. The only difference is the body shape requirements!

But how do you know they are the real thing, and not just trying to scam you?

First and foremost, if they ask you to pay them money up front, alarm bells should ring. Whilst it is not uncommon for agencies to charge you for a photoshoot to start your portfolio, if their main focus is getting you to pay, and not -you-, they could be just after your money.

With or without the money issue, if they thrust a contract in front of you, don’t sign it until you have read all of it – and if you don’t understand parts of it, get a third party to look at it. You could be signing away the rights to your image, or even all your future earnings. In a lot of cases, the contracts are legitimate and work for both you and the agency – but if in doubt, take your time. If they say you need to sign or they’ll get someone else instead, it’s a sure sign they’re using scare tactics and you need to consider it very very carefully.

Ask for references – if you can find real businesses or people who have used their services before, it’s a good sign.

And don’t forget to check for reviews online – although reviews can be faked, a wide range of reviews normally indicates that a business is legitimate. If they have a hundred 5-star reviews, they are either amazing or cheating. If they have ten 5-star, twenty 4-star, and six 3-star reviews, they sound more like a real business.
